Terms of use
The rules for using this ExoSeal instance.
Updated2 November 2026
Scope
These terms apply to the use of this ExoSeal instance provided by Exostruction GmbH (the operator). Creating links requires signing in. Opening a link or answering a request needs no account and is also subject to these terms.
Service
The service transmits secrets and replies end-to-end encrypted. The operator stores only encrypted data and cannot read it. Secrets are deleted on first view, on expiry or after a report. There is no claim that a secret is retrievable at a given time or at all.
Acceptable use
The service may only be used lawfully. In particular it is forbidden to transmit unlawful content, malware, insults, threats or spam, to bypass protective measures and to create links in bulk by automated means. Users are responsible for the content they transmit.
Access and account
Creating links is only possible after signing in through the identity provider chosen by the operator. The operator may block access if these terms are violated or abuse is to be feared.
Reporting and removal
Any recipient can have a link deleted with the "Report this link" function without reading its content. Because the operator cannot read content, removal happens through this function. Notices of abuse can be sent to the address in the legal notice.
Availability
The service is provided without any guarantee of availability. Maintenance, faults and changes can cause interruptions.
Liability
The operator is liable without limit for intent, gross negligence and injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence it is only liable for breach of essential contractual duties and limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. The operator is not liable for the consequences of a lost key, a forgotten passphrase or a shared link.
Changes
The operator may change these terms with effect for the future. The current version is on this page.
Governing law
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protection rules remain unaffected.
